30th Annual Tulare County Job Fair Returns September 14th

Nearly 1,000 jobs available for job seekers

The Workforce Investment Board of Tulare County, in partnership with the Employment Connection of Tulare County, is proud to announce the 30th Annual Tulare County Job Fair on Wednesday, September 14, 2022, at the Visalia Convention Center from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM. The Job Fair aims to connect qualified job seekers with local businesses from throughout the Central Valley. Job seekers can share their résumés, participate in on-the-spot interviews, and meet with more than 80 local employers in a single location.

As job seekers prepare to attend the job fair, they should develop a plan. “We suggest that everyone attending take a few minutes to do some research. Job seekers should come prepared to ask questions, to talk about their relevant skills, and how those skills can benefit the employer,” stated Monica Andrade, Tulare County Job Fair Coordinator. The Job Fair website www.tularecountyjobs.com includes a list of all of the employers who will be participating and the types of jobs they have available. Additionally, the website has several helpful resources for job seekers, including parking and transportation information, tips on what to bring with you, advice on preparing yourself for the job fair, and links to additional resources. Job seekers are encouraged to go to an Employment Connection Center before the event to get help with their interview skills and build or update their resumes.

Employment Connection staff will also be onsite at the Convention Center during the Job Fair to review resumes, provide interview tips, and discuss career options. Additionally, Proteus Inc. will have its mobile resource unit onsite so that job seekers can update, print, and make copies of their resumes.

"Events like the Tulare County Job Fair, which connect the valley's talented workers with employers looking to hire, are a critical part of our efforts to strengthen our local economy," stated Adam Peck, Executive Director, Workforce Investment Board of Tulare County. "As local businesses and workers recover from the devastating impacts of the pandemic, the job fair will help us build a stronger, more prosperous Tulare County," Peck added.

The 30th Annual Tulare County Job Fair is a free event for job seekers. In honor of their service to our nation, Veterans will be allowed to enter the job fair at 8:30 a.m. before the general public. Job seekers are encouraged to wear interview attire and bring multiple copies of their résumé.
