These services provide wage reimbursement, training support, and access to qualified job seekers—reducing hiring costs while building a strong local workforce. Subsidized employment
Subsidized employment (transitional jobs/work experience) programs offer businesses the opportunity to host new workers at no cost, with wages paid through local funding sources. This approach helps employers meet staffing needs while providing individuals with valuable hands-on experience and skill development in a real work environment.
Key Benefits:

Individuals placed are not on the employer's payroll

100% of an employees' wages are subsidized for 16-480 hours, contingent on the candidate's skill assessment

The minimum pay rate is the CA or local minimum wage, or the minimum wage specific to the industry

On-the-Job training
On-the-job training (OJT) is a program that offers businesses reimbursement for wages to cover costs associated with training new employees. The program is designed to assist employers in onboarding individuals who do not have all of the required skills for a specific role.

Training spans 160-360 hours, contingent on the candidate's skill assessment
